Holy, Holy, Holy

Lately I have had an interest in reading the book of Revelation. I think it’s because of the current climate of our world. I feel like we cannot deny that we are in the end times as the Bible has written so much about it. Today while reading Rev. 3, the thing that stood out to me the most, had little to do with end times.

Rev. 4:6-11 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:

“‘Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,’[a]who was, and is, and is to come.”

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,

    to receive glory and honor and power,

for you created all things,

    and by your will they were created

    and have their being.”

I know many of us are not clear on certain aspects of Rev. There are things that are not easy to understand, But these verses are clear. Worship. Adoration. Praise. Glorify. Exalt. Honor. Devotion. Love. Our God deserves worship. We walk around this world star struck if we see a celebrity. We spend our time and money on things that have no honor. But this God who created heaven and earth, hung the stars in the sky, made you perfect, made us for fellowship with HIM. We know that all good things come from God. Yet we do not take the time to honor him as we should. Although we all wonder what heaven will be like, these verses show that everything in heaven worships God.

Today, I am going to turn up the praise music and thank Him for His blessings!
