How was your week? I am waiting on tests results so my life is in a holding pattern. But I have spoken to a few people this week and I told them each I would pray for them.  I ran into an old friend that I rarely talk to, she told me that she has been fighting the worst depression and anxiety. She has lost so many people in the past year and so many family members are ill with different difficult things. I spoke with 2 people who are having such stress in their marriages they don’t know if they can stick it out. I spoke with one person who has anxiety and irrational fears that are plaguing every aspect of her life. I received a text from someone whose teenager seems to have given up on life. Just doesn’t want to participate in anything. I know a few people with health problems. As I sat here thinking how I need to really seek God on my knees for these and more, I felt totally overwhelmed!  God, I can’t do this! I am just one person and there are so many needs! Then this song came on. I don’t need to do anything! In fact, what could I do? The enemy is hard at work. His time is near and anyone that he can make miserable, any marriage and family that he can split, any child that he can lead away is a feather in his cap.  But I have GOOD NEWS! Our God is so much bigger! Our God parted water, not once, but twice to make a way for his people. When God lead his people out of Egypt into the promised land, he did make them wander for 40 yrs, but he had already made a plan for all their needs to be met. They had all they needed. Our God stood in the fiery furnace with Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego, and they had not ONE eye brow singed. Turning water into wine was nothing for our God. Our God really can break every stronghold. He really can heal. There really is power in his name.

Lord, you are mighty and worthy of praise,  help us today. There are so many things tugging at us to steal our joy, to add to our anxiety and stress. Give us the peace that only you can give. Remove the anxiety and depression. Heal all the hurts and physical problems. Break all the strongholds and shine through the darkness. In His Mighty Name, Amen
