God Bless America
Corrie Ten Boom, who was a holocaust survivor, once said “The wonderful thing about praying is that you leave a world of not being able to do something and enter God’s Realm where everything is possible. He specializes in the impossible. Nothing is too great for His almighty power. Nothing is too small for His Love”.
This week we watched God’s grace in action as He once again blessed this country. Why, I am not sure. We prove time and time again that we are sinful beings in need of a savior. But time and time again, God shows His grace and mercy on us individually and as a country. I pray that we won’t waste this second chance to be more of what He designed this country to be.
Psalm 33:12-22 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind;
14 from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth—
15 he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.
16 No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
20 We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice. for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love be with us, Lord even as we put our hope in you.
God is sovereign and mighty. We are incredibly blessed to live in a country as wealthy as this, but it is only because of God’s blessings that we do.
Thank you, Lord, for your amazing love, for blessing us over and over when we are so unfaithful to you. Help us to be the people you want us to be. In His
Almighty name, Amen.
