God's Daughters

God’s Daughters

I heard this today. It hit me on so many levels.

There isn’t a woman in the Bible who had it easy. Ruth didn’t have it easy, Esther didn’t have it easy, Sara didn’t have it easy, Hannah didn’t have it easy, Bathsheba didn’t have it easy, Mary didn’t have it easy, the woman at the well didn’t have it easy. We better stop falling for that feel good gospel and recognize that God’s daughters didn’t have it easy. They have it anointed, they have it appointed. They have it highly favored, they have it predestined and they have all had the victory. Sister, you walk in your anointing, easy or not.

Sisters, you may not be moved by this, but today I was. Maybe because the last several months, I haven’t had it easy. The road ahead, may not be easy. But it’s God’s road for me. I would rather be on the road God has set for me with all the issues, than on a road leading who knows where that IS easy. I pray that if I approach the throne of self pity, God won’t leave me there long. He usually taps me on the shoulder to remind me that this life has bumps. Get off the throne and keep walking.

Brothers, God made men and women different in so many ways. We are more likely to take everything to heart, which can lead to that pity throne. But men, it is a great opportunity for you to step up and support us through our road. Your road is rough too, in totally different ways. We will be there to support you where we can. Sometimes we are on the road alone, because God needs us to depend SOLELY on Him.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:

“…For He has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we can confidently say, ’The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’” Hebrews 13:5b-6

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” - Psalm 27:1

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” - Psalm 91:1-2

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.” - Psalm 46:1-3

“Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.” - Psalm 55:22

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” - John 14:27

AMEN!
