Ps. 139;13-16 “For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

God made every cell in my body, and yours. Nothing was a mistake, no life is a mistake. Nothing is a surprise to God. Every day of my life has a number from the day I was conceived. Is this day 24,760? Doesn’t matter. God gave me a certain number as he did with each of us. It’s a very comforting thought to know that the enemy cannot change that number. God is in control of my days.

The first couple of months into Covid, I was very cautious. I wondered, when I get home from getting groceries, should I immediately put all my clothes in the washer? Leave my shoes outside and spray them with Lysol? We didn’t know much about it. As time went on, we began to see that it was spread through human contact and just going to the grocery store shouldn’t be an issue, but moreover, I realized that God is in control.  It’s a wonderful assurance to know that I will go to heaven when I do die. Do I want to die? NO! Not anytime soon. God did give us a will to live. But there is a comfort knowing that whether it is old age, an accident, a pandemic, rapture or whatever that takes me home, God ordained it for me ON my appointed day. Psalms 139 is often quoted by Right to Life advocates. It is perfect. God freely admits here that He knit us together. IF God creates life, no one has the right to take it.

Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. I love Isaiah 46:4. He made us, he will carry us, sustain us and rescue us. WOW! What more could we ask for? The Bible is full of promises. God has made us so many. God cannot break a promise. He is too perfect. I love to come across a verse like Isaiah 46:4 where he promises so much, and it is personally for me…. AND YOU. I have heard it said that the Bible is a love letter to God’s people from God. It’s a great place to go if you want to meet him, know more about him or feel close to him.

Thank you, Lord, for your promises, for your love and for your protection. AMEN.
