1-5-24
Here I surrender, lay down every weight
Remember Your love has broken all my chains
What You have finished cannot be undone
The work of the cross was more than enough
[Chorus]
I've been set free, I've been set free
Sin has no hold, shame has no power over me
Found in Your mercy, I've been washed clean
You call me whole, saved and redeemed
I've been set free
[Verse 2]
There is a promise written in Your scars
I am forgiven, changed by who You are
What You have finished, I will not forget
Oh, I'm buried with Christ, I'm raised from the dead
All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give
I will ever love and trust Him
In His presence daily live
All to Jesus I surrender
Humbly at His feet I bow
Worldly pleasures all forsaken
Take me, Jesus, take me now
I surrender all
I surrender all
All to Thee my blessed Savior
I surrender all
I have a friend who will not sing these songs. Oh, she loves the Lord, but she feels that we swear this surrender to Him, but we don’t really do it. I understand what she means. I want to surrender ALL, but do I really? Then if I really do, do I take it all up again? I think I do. We are fickle creatures, up & down with emotions. God is the ONLY constant that we can count on. The only thing that cannot and will not change! Praise God that He sent us a “BLESSED SAVIOR” that we can count on.
