Patience

Lamentations 3:25-26 - The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Everything is becoming more instant, convenient, fast and readily available nowadays. This makes being patient even harder than ever before. If you're at a stoplight, and the light turns green, and you don’t accelerate your car fast enough, the person behind you is honking his or her horn. If our cell phone service is slow we tend to be a little more on edge. If the WiFi is too slow, we get frustrated. Don’t get me wrong, fast WiFi is pretty awesome. And all of these technological advancements have been great in MANY ways, but it has weakened our “patience muscle.” The “patience muscle” is not a real muscle of course, but I’m talking about the programming in our brain. Convenience has made us want things quicker. We have to remember, some things just take time!

Think of a stormy day, or even a couple of bad weather days back to back. We tend to feel a little low. Always remember: be patient. There will be sunny days in the future, and the sun is ALWAYS shining above the clouds.

2 Peter 3:8 - But do not forget this one thing dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

Praying for you all!
