“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I remember years ago on my first week at Lutherdale Bible Camp. One of the counselors named Fritz said we should pray about everything. Even what color socks to wear! It might sound silly but 45-50 years later I can recall that statement like yesterday.

We have so many not so small things to pray about just within our church family. We also have individual struggles we would rather not openly share. So many praises and so many concerns. Some even dire.

Jesus wants our intimacy. One way we grow closer to Him is through reading His book and another is prayer. Not necessarily closing our eyes, bowing our head and folding our hands every time. For instance when the phone rings and that name shows up that will be a difficult conversation, whisper a prayer without speaking. He wants to help but we must ask. Imagine the only true God from before a start and with no end is pleading for us to open ourselves to Him! Humbling to say the very least.

““Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.”
‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭16:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Thinking things may be too small to pray about is like saying things could be to big to pray about. They would be equally wrong. Thank God!
