Please read John 4:4-30. It is the interaction between Jesus and the Samaritan woman.

This account is wonderfully portrayed in the first years dramatic final episode of “The Chosen.”

When reading through the well known story the dialogue is so ironic it’s almost comical, only because we are aware of who He is and she doesn’t have a clue. Back and forth conversation between a Jewish man who in that culture should not give a woman from Samaria the time of day. She thinks he is audacious because she still doesn’t know it is He. Anyway not for another moment.
And then...

Our recently deceased brother Ravi Zacharias summed it up beautifully in a book named “Jesus Among Other Gods”

“The Samaritan woman grasped what He said with fervor that came from an awareness of her real need. The transaction was fascinating. She has come with a bucket. He sent her back with a spring of living water. She had come as a reject. He sent her back being accepted by God Himself. She came wounded. He sent her back whole. She came laden with questions. He sent her back as a source for answers. She came living a life of quiet desperation. She ran back overflowing with hope.
The disciples missed it all.
It was lunchtime for them.

You'll never get to a person's soul until you understand their hurts.”

Each of us have a bucket to fill. I pray we all seek Him out and leave with a bucket full of an endless Spring of The Living Water! Then share what we’ve experienced with everyone!
