Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Proverbs 27:1

Groundhog Day! Today, Punxsutawney Phil will tell us if we will have an early spring or a longer winter. Thousands of people attend each year to see what the future will bring. Will the groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, see his shadow? Well I hate to disappoint you, but the rodent is not good at predicting the weather. Some studies show Phil is only right 39% of the time! While attending all of the festivities might be fun, putting confidence in a groundhog to predict the future is a little silly. The truth is none of us know what our future will be like. I doubt anybody last year would have guessed people would be wearing masks everyday or that you couldn’t eat indoors at your favorite restaurant. Who knows what this year will bring? Well, actually someone does, and He has promised to never leave or forsake us. While fear of the unknown and uncertainty of the future can cause anxiety, as a child of God I know I am not alone, and the One who leads me knows all things. Do I know what tomorrow will bring? No, but praise God I know who will be with me!
Matt Greven

I don't know about tomorrow,
I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from it's sunshine
For it's skies may turn to grey.
I don't worry o'er the future,
For I know what Jesus said.
And today I'll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.

Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

I don't know about tomorrow;
It may bring me poverty.
But the one who feeds the sparrow,
Is the one who stands by me.
And the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood;
But His presence goes before me
And I'm covered with His blood.

Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.
