Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Matthew 6:33

What does it mean to focus on God’s kingdom and His righteousness first?

This means you spend time with God and learn about His ways of doing things. The main way you do this is by reading the Bible. As you do that, it will help you know God’s heart and what He is all about.

The promise of this verse is that when you put your focus on God’s Word and His way of doing things first, all the other concerns of your life will begin to fall into place. You can then have the peace of knowing that you do not have to keep it all in order, God will. God takes care of all your life’s concerns when you put His concerns first.

Today, choose to put God’s Word and His Kingdom first. It might take some time before all your other things in your life all get aligned by God, but know that in time He will make sure that all the things you were concerned about are taken care of.
