Have you taken harp lessons? Did you ever wonder if we will need them in heaven? Probably not, it does sound sort of silly. The thing is, I am hearing people ask, what are we going to do in heaven? It sounds boring to sit on a cloud & strum a harp.
In John 14 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God;[a] believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?[b] 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
So we know that Jesus has a plan for us after we are done here on earth. What do you suppose those rooms in God’s house look like? Are they decorated like Joanna Gaines? I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s the best of everything! We have heard about the “streets of gold” in the bible. I have heard some pastors say it means literally streets are made of GOLD. But I have heard some say that it is just a reference to something extremely beautiful & precious.
We know that God is perfect & we are not. We know that heaven is perfect and that there will be no pain, no suffering (mentally or physically). We know that we will have new bodies & there will be no more tears.
I believe that our lives there will have some meaningful “labor” in glory to God. But I am just a little spec and know nothing of His ways. What I do know is that because I love & trust in Him, I have given MY life to Him, I will get to go to live with Him for eternity & see the splendor, the magnificence and the majesty that is God the creator, and Jesus, His son. OH WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE!!
